Valuepad privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026 · DigiVibeTech, Amersfoort, the Netherlands
Valuepad is a VS Code extension that runs JavaScript and TypeScript files on your computer and shows the results in the editor.
- No data collection. The extension collects no personal data, code, usage statistics or telemetry, and sends nothing to DigiVibeTech.
- Local processing only. Your code runs in a separate Node.js process on your own computer. Results are kept in memory while the file is open. Scratch files you create are saved in VS Code's storage folder for the extension.
- Your code's own network access. Code you run with Valuepad can use the network like any script you run yourself. Valuepad does not see or record what it sends.
- Licence check (Pro). If you buy Web Dev Pro, Gumroad processes your payment and email address under its own privacy policy (https://gumroad.com/privacy). When you enter your licence key, Valuepad sends only that key and the product id to Gumroad's licence check. The key is kept in VS Code's secret storage. It re-checks at most once a week.
- npm install (Pro). When you choose to install a package, npm downloads it from the npm registry, which has its own privacy terms.
- Third parties. No analytics. VS Code, the Visual Studio Marketplace and Open VSX have their own privacy terms.
Your rights. Under the GDPR you may ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. For Valuepad this is only Pro purchase records held by Gumroad. Removing the extension and its key (Valuepad: Remove licence key) deletes its local data.
